Academic Areas
Analysis of Decisions and Negotiation
 This course on analysis of decisions and negotiation is designed to train participants in the process of complex management decisions. Throughout the course, participants will learn to face problems with a high degree of complexity, either due to consequences of their results, or high levels of uncertainty, or simply ambiguity.
The purpose is to develop negotiating and problem-solving abilities in participants, through an understanding of the point of view of the other person or group, and of practical knowledge of a very varied range of negotiating techniques.
The course also seeks to train participants in the use of logical tools required to address the other areas of the Program more fruitfully.
Content:
- Introduction to decisions taken in uncertainty.
- Criteria in decision-taking.
- Complete criteria for business decisions.
- Risk, relevant information and simulation.
- Net present value or expected value?.
- Sensitivity, scenarios, models for decision-taking.
- Risk.
- The value of money over time.
