The Case Method
The Case Method
For INALDE, the development of management abilities and the review of attitudes and values must be conducted through a process of personal discovery, and the Case Method is an ideal way to do this.
Teaching through the Case Method creates simulations which reflect realities of problems of very different businesses, areas and sectors. The method, developed by Harvard Business School, consists in having systematic discussions on particular situations of a real company, through a detailed analysis of events, the implied or explicit problems, and human attitudes. The purpose is to propose and evaluate a number of alternatives, together with their possible consequences, in order to arrive at the best decisions.
In INALDE, the Case Method means that the participant takes up a leading role in business decisions, which include the risks of any business, and he must be prepared to take the risks, without endangering the present or future of the business.
The contrast between opinions between participants who work on the same level, but with different visions and experiences which the Case Method encourages and stimulates, helps to ensure that this process is more solid and methodical, prudent and agile.
The Case Method is complemented with simulations and management games, outdoor activities, role-playing, and lectures-discussions.

International week
INALDE taught me that a business should be conceived to generate value "always" over time, and that we as managers have that mission, and that in order to succeed in that we should build a proper organizational structure with strategies, responsibilities, and above all long-term thinking. I sincerely believe that thanks to these lessons, the Parmalat crisis placed us - as it would in any other crisis that comes up - in a privileged situation to be able to deal with the problem and carry on with the business.
