Research lines and projects

The research group in the management of the individual in an organization seeks to deepen and broad research in the area. In the same process of formation of the group, articulating the interests and priorities of its members and of INALDE, two lines of research were defined:

Human behavior and the development of management skills

Objectives: To deepen research on human behavior in the context of organizations, and in the development of talents and management skills and competencies for strategy, execution and leadership. The specific topics include motivation, leadership, teamwork, and others: the work seeks to focus on the study of the Colombian scenario and to consolidate individual experiences and knowledge formed on a solid basis, on which to develop the management of the individual in an organization.

The anthropological model of business management

Objectives: This project seeks to make a deeper examination of the foundations and repercussions which the anthropological approach, placed at the centre of the anthropological model of business management, implies for teaching practice and management action.

These lines bring together and define the basis for formulation and execution of a range of research projects. Since they group was created (April 2004) work has been done on the following projects:

The results of projects, and the use of the various cases in them have been material for the teaching activity of group members, and specifically, in courses on the management of the individual in an organization I, II, III and IV of the MBA (MEDEX) Program, and the courses in the area of management development program PDD, the senior management program (PADE) and some In-Company Programs.

The group maintains research relations with the cross-cultural area OCB, and the area of family business in the International Center for Work and the Family, in IESE (Spain). In the medium and long-term, the intention is to expand the relationships with groups working on the same lines and/or similar topics, both in Colombia and in other countries, in order to strengthen research networks and reflection, which will in turn encourage and extend the dissemination of knowledge acquired.
